Phung Tran

ACSM - EP

Phung Tran, an ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist, empathizes with the challenges women encounter in creating beneficial healthy habits that fit their lifestyles. Phung supports her clients in achieving their goals through personalized, science-based coaching that emphasizes enjoyment in exercise, nutrition, sleep, and more!

When not actively engaged in fitness activities, Phung enjoys spending time cuddling with her black cat and working on her latest amigurumi project through crocheting.

Dion Sherry is very passionate about improving the quality of life through exercise implementation.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of North Georgia, Dion has dedicated himself to strategic programming and coaching that allows his clients to reach their desired goals. He believes in meeting people where they are and creating a supportive environment to promote physical and mental growth.

Ryan Willoughby

B.S. in Biomedical Physiology / M.S in Physiology (in progress)

Ryan Willoughby, is a long-time athlete, strength coach, and student of physiology. He’s been weight training for over a decade and used that time to aim for mastery within many disciplines of fitness.

He’s trained in the styles of bodybuilding, powerlifting, calisthenics, and athletic training for sports like Baseball and Judo. He utilizes principles and concepts from these areas to train clients like an athlete, equipping them with the specific fitness attributes needed to flourish in their lives. 

In his free time, he enjoys doing Judo, playing video games, reading, and attending concerts with friends. And spending time with his dog!

Austin Black is a passionate coach with three years of coaching experience in collegiate athletics.

He achieved a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from the University of North Georgia, where he interned in the Strength and Conditioning department. He continued his coaching career at Limestone University, where he served as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for 12 collegiate teams. His coaching style is centered around strong relationships with his clients, which helps him understand their goals. Austin's mentors strongly shaped his philosophy as a coach, in which he focuses on structured program design and injury prevention.

Megan Howerton

ACSM - EP

Megan is a Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM) with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, currently working as both a gymnastics coach and assistant fitness coach.

She is also a current doctoral student for Occupational Therapy. Her passion is helping people feel stronger, healthier, and more confident and capable through exercise that’s rooted in science and built around real-life goals.

There is an enormous body of evidence to support the fact that exercise is the key to optimal health. Unfortunately, most exercise programs on the market are tailored to short-term results. What’s worse, the culture of high-performance athletics has brought a “no pain no gain” mentality to most exercise schedules.

At Stronger Now, we believe exercise has to be put first in the context of consistency. The main job of any coach or trainer is to provide the program a client can follow long term. This means the program must be enjoyable and effective. If the program is enjoyable, it makes it easier to come into the gym when other aspects of life might otherwise get in the way. If the program is effective, it’s easier for the client to stick to it long term.
